The small village of Stockbridge is located in the heart of the Berkshires, a region in western Massachusetts renowned for its wooded, rolling hills that have inspired artists, musicians and writers for many years.

Red Lion Inn, StockbridgeThis archetypal New England village is renowned locally for once being the home of the artist Norman Rockwell and for the Red Lion Inn, supposedly the oldest hotel in the United States.

In the hills around the village lie some magnificent houses including the home and studio of Daniel Chester French, the sculptor of the Lincoln Memorial.

Just five miles north of Stockbridge lies the village of Lenox, home to the Norman Rockwell Museum and Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
