Situated at western Colorado's red rock Unaweep Canyon, meaning 'canyon with two mouths', this resort offers a wealth of leisure pursuits from hiking, riding and mountain biking along the canyon trails to fly-fishing or kayaking on the Dolores River, rock climbing or off-road touring.
The resort even boasts its own auto museum, the Hendricks Collection, featuring 45 antique American classic cars and there is also an inviting outdoor swimming pool and spa.
The Entrada restaurant offers fine dining in an atmospheric setting with its outdoor patio looking out onto a canyon sunset whilst the Paradox Grille serves traditional Colorado cuisine in a more relaxed environment.
Recently refurbished, the spacious guest rooms are split between the Kiva Lodge and the newer Kayenta Lodge, each attractively decorated in an adobe style and equipped with mini fridge, coffee maker, wet bar and high-definition TV.
