This waterfront property is built on three levels above San Antonio’s historic River Walk that’s lined with bars, restaurants and music venues. The hotel has a large, sociable pool area, a quaint courtyard decorated with fairy lights, and a relaxed riverfront café. One attraction which brings in the locals is the live mariachi band, accompanied by margaritas on Friday nights.
While the rooms are furnished with dark woods and rich colours, they manage to feel bright and spacious. Being in the centre of downtown and enjoying a waterfront location, guests are right in the middle of San Antonio and all its attractions.

Rooms and facilities at the Omni are of a good standard and guests are well located for exploring the city. Please note, if guest rooms overlook the River Walk, guests may hear some external noise.

Rooms
All the rooms have a Spanish style with open beamed ceilings and exposed brick wall and some entry level rooms boast French doors which open to the pool area. Some rooms have views over the city and the upgrade options provide views over the interesting and lively river walk.
Location
All major sites, restaurants and bars are within walking distance from the Omni. Guests are well situated for exploring the historic downtown area of San Antonio with the Alamo located just one block away. This property has an enviable location above the lively River Walk so do be prepared for a little exterior noise if your room overlooks the river or pool area.
Food and drink
The Omni La Mansion del Rio has a range of dining options. The poolside bar serves light snacks and drinks throughout the day, while El Colegio and Las Canarias provide high-end dining with a Spanish flare. Weather permitting, there’s a terrace overlooking the River Walk where guests can sample delicious Southern favourites and rich desserts. On Sundays, Las Canarias hosts a champagne Sunday brunch with seating that overlooks the river.

This hotel is family friendly with a lively, child-friendly pool area. All the rooms are spacious and can fit extra beds if necessary.
Spa Facilities
The Omni is the sister property to the Mokara Hotel and Spa, which is located opposite, and guests are welcome to use the spa facilities there. The Mokara is the most highly acclaimed destination spa in the city. Treatments range from facial and body treatments to a session in the salon or onsite Jacuzzi and steam room.
