The 23 suites are smart, condo-style apartments with views right across to Falmouth Marina. Each apartment hosts an array of modern facilities including iPod dock, fully equipped, modern kitchen and air conditioning. With an outdoor dining table, interior lounge and loungers on the private patio, there’s plenty of space to enjoy the views.
Next door to Antigua Yacht club, and a short walk from the restaurant-lined Dockyard Drive, South Point is perfect for exploring English Harbour. The UNESCO world heritage site of Nelson’s Dockyard is also within walking distance. After a busy day, the views across Falmouth Harbour can be enjoyed from the hotel bar. There is a very small strip of sand in front of the hotel, but the hotel can also arrange transfers to nearby Pigeon beach.
The hotel's one dining option, Maia, is set on an over-water deck providing an understated, easy-going atmosphere and the perfect spot for watching the yachts sail by. It's open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers dishes that are a fusion of fresh, local ingredients created from an eclectic mix of authentic flavours inspired by Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Located above the restaurant, the hotel’s bar, The Lounge, serves creative cocktails as well as a well-stocked array of wine.
Please note that the restaurant is closed during the low season from 1 September - 31 October 2020. During this time, breakfast will be served in the Lounge.
Whilst there are no facilities specific to children, the Penthouse suites, with full kitchen and plenty of space, are perfect for families.
The hotel’s concierge specialise in arranging private boat charters- the best way to explore the many beaches and snorkelling sites of Antigua’s south coast. A variety of land based activities can also be organised including zip-lining through Antigua’s forests, visiting Fort Barrington, a nearby British fort, or to Shirley Heights, part of Nelson’s Dockyard National Park.
With fully equipped kitchens and plenty of in-room dining space, South Point would be perfect for independent couples and families. The location right in the heart of the docks makes it easy to explore on foot or, with easy access to Antigua’s yacht club, explore by boat. In the high season there’s a wealth of restaurants to choose from but in the low season most of these close and the area is much quieter.
