Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel

Kakadu National Park, Australia

This quirkily designed hotel actually has the shape of a crocodile from the outside and is set in the midst of Kakadu National Park. Its air conditioned rooms overlook a central courtyard, where a shaded swimming pool and recreational area provides a relaxing space for guests to enjoy when not out exploring. The hotel offers a good range of facilities for such a remote location, as well as plenty of free on site parking.

They come with queen size, double and single beds, which can be configured in different combinations to sleep up to four guests.

Location

The hotel is positioned in Jabiru, which is around a 2 hour 30 minute drive from Darwin. It's in a great location for exploring Kakadu National Park, while Yellow River is around 45 minutes’ drive away.

Food and Drink

The hotel has a bistro-style restaurant providing hearty Australian breakfasts, snacks and lunches and à la carte dinners in the evenings. With limited dining options in Jabiru, this is a good choice.

Families

A number of accessibility features are in place here, including ramp access for wheelchairs, and accessible bathrooms.

Our opinion

This is a fairly simple but comfortable and clean property, with a great location to discover Kakadu National Park and Yellow River.
