-
On arrival in Brisbane, you will be met by a representative and transported to your city accommodation where you will stay the next three nights. Have a leisurely stroll around the Southbank for an alfresco brunch or explore one of the contemporary museums that cluster around the urban centre, like the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).
-
Today you will explore Brisbane through an immersive private tour exploring the city's culinary and cultural scene. You will adventure through the city's hidden hotspots on a food-filled adventure, sampling delicious dishes while learning about the rich history and modern-day culture of the diverse neighbourhoods and their dynamic personalities.
-
This day is left for your own self-exploration. You may want to take a cruise up the river or take in the scenic viewpoints from Mount Coot-Tha Summit Lookout.
-
Your transfer will pick you up this morning and take you to Redcliffe Aerodrome, where you will take an 80-minute scenic flight to the most remote Great Barrier Reef island, Lady Elliot Island, where you will spend the next three nights.
-
An underwater haven for both snorkellers and divers, the island will provide plenty of marine life viewing, whether you prefer to take it in from the top of the water or in the depths. There are numerous dive sites and snorkel trails to choose from.
-
Known as the home of the manta ray, today you may want to try your luck in finding the 700 individual mantas that take up residency around the island or you may want to join one of the many expert guided tours and activities that are offered throughout the day to learn more about the flora and the fauna of the island.
-
After flying back to the mainland, you will pick up your car hire and head north to the Sunshine Coast for a few days in Noosa. On the way, we recommend stopping by Eumundi Markets to grab some delicious locally grown and baked goods for your stay.
-
Take in the views from Noosa, try your luck learning to surf, peek into the boutiques on Hastings Street or look for koalas on the Noosa Coastal Walk.
-
This morning you will take a helicopter ride from Noosa over to K'gari, the largest sand island in the world where you will explore the natural wonders of the island. Formerly called Fraser Island, you will explore the island by 4x4, float down the refreshing Eli Creek, explore the Maheno Shipwreck, relax in a natural jacuzzi of the champagne pools, climb giant sand dunes, learn of the ways of the original land custodians — the Butchulla peoples — and watch for dingoes and whales that call the island home before returning to your Noosa accommodation.
-
There are only two Everglades on the planet, and one of them exists in Noosa. Today, you will explore the Everglades on an eco-safari with expert guides who will make sure to point out the various local wildlife on display. Choose to canoe or stay onboard a purpose-built vessel to get through the waterways known as the 'river of mirrors'.
-
You will again head north, this time flying from Brisbane to Cairns where you will pick up your car hire to drive to Palm Cove. Upon arriving enjoy the luxury amenities of your accommodation or stroll into town for some delicious eats.
-
Enjoy a day out on the reef this morning. You will head to Sailaway headquarters in nearby Port Douglas where a catamaran will whisk you away to the outer reef.
-
Explore the Daintree Rainforest and learn about the original landowners, the Kuku Yalanji people, today. Your immersive tour will take you deep into the oldest rainforest where you will get the chance to appreciate the natural beauty and the indigenous heritage. Learn how to spear fish and catch crabs in the mangroves, swim at Mossman Gorge and be on the lookout for Jurassic-looking cassowaries.
-
On your last day in Australia, you may want to drive down to Cairns to wander through the esplanade and shops that line the streets or opt for a relaxing day sunbathing at your resort. If you have not got enough rainforest, the Kuranda Skyrail is worth a visit for visuals of new heights.
-
Make your way to Cairns Airport and return your car before boarding your onward flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
