Rooms
This boutique property is predominantly made up of Grand Langham rooms, Junior Suites and Langham Suites, with the addition of the Observatory Suite and the two-bedroom Residence for those seeking further space and luxury. The rooms each boast high ceilings and thoughtfully designed interiors, with large windows looking out to either the western harbor or the Sydney skyline.
All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, an iPod dock, safe, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities and cable TV, with some also benefiting from private roof terraces. An additional bed can be added to all rooms, which is an advantage if you're traveling with children.
Location
Located on Kent Street in the Rocks district, The Langham is just a stone’s throw from Sydney’s iconic harbour bridge and opera house, just on the edge of the CBD. The Rocks is home to weekend markets selling artwork, jewelry and handicrafts, and to an extensive range of bars, restaurants and quaint cafés. The hotel is around ten kilometers from Sydney airport.
Food and drink
The hotel's main restaurant — the Kent Street Kitchen — is open for breakfast each morning, becoming a fine dining restaurant in the evenings (five days a week). Meanwhile, using Wedgwood china and specially blended teas, afternoon tea at The Langham’s Palm Court Restaurant is something of a Sydney institution. When not dining at the restaurant you can explore the many eateries found in the Rocks district or elsewhere in Sydney's vibrant center.
Families
The property offers interconnecting rooms and additional beds if required to accommodate families. A kids' menu is available both in the restaurant and for room-service. Babysitting can be arranged in advance.
Facilities and activities
The hotel is well known in Sydney for its outstanding day spa and, as such, booking (especially at weekends) is essential. There's also a full health center, including a well-equipped gym, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, while the ambient 20 meter swimming pool has loungers that are perfect for relaxing on between lengths. Just opposite the hotel is a champion-sized, hard court tennis court. Valet parking is available at the hotel, which is payable on arrival.
