Casa Santo Domingo

Casa Santo Domingo, Antigua, Guatemala

Our rating: First Class

The Casa Santo Domingo is more than just a hotel: it is a piece of history and one of the country's most important archeological monuments. Dating back more than 400 years, this beautiful restored and converted convent has 129 bedrooms, individual in size and décor with air-conditioning and cable TV.

It used to house the followers of the order of Santo Domingo de Guzman and opened its doors as a hotel in 1989. The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from the city center and is set in stunning gardens with fountains, patios, a gorgeous pool and a lovely restaurant.
