Mangapapa Lodge is an historic lodge, that has been refurbished to provide a luxurious and secluded stay in the Hawke’s Bay countryside, and is within a short drive to local vineyards and fine dining restaurants. The property has 12 rooms that are each uniquely shaped and designed to maintain the historical charm, whilst providing modern day comforts.

Whilst staying at the property you can enjoy a high tea with a variety of small sandwiches and pastries, a full cooked breakfast and a three or five course meal. During the day, you can take out one of the complimentary bikes to ride around Hawke's Bay and explore the unique coastline.

Rooms

While staying at Mangapapa Lodge you can choose to stay in one of the six different room types on the property. From the Homestead Suite, that is located in the original historic building, to the more modern Lady Wattie's Suite, which is perfect for those who want a little more room to spread out. Each of the rooms have a double bed with luxurious linens, a large bathroom with a shower or bathtub, a balcony to take in the orchard or garden views and a small sitting area to relax.

Location

Mangapapa Lodge sits on 25 acres of orchards and gardens and is situated minutes from local wineries and the small town of Havelock North and only a 20-minute drive from Napier.

Food and drink

During your stay, you have a full buffet included and à la carte breakfast served daily in the dining room. For an additional cost, you can also enjoy a high tea or dinner seatings, which includes food that features local seasonal ingredients. Alternatively, you can visit the unique bar that offers drinks all day, with an extensive wine list and cellar. 

Facilities and activities

While staying at the property, you will have access to the seasonal solar warmed pool, the tennis court, and spa facilities. Additionally, you can use one of the complimentary bikes to explore Hawke's Bay.
