The Resurgence, Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand
Located on the edge of the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, The Resurgence offers comfort and tranquility in a beautiful native bush setting. The main lodge building, as well as the separate guest bush chalets and lodges, have been carefully created to blend in with the setting, providing great views as well as peace and privacy. Each room is a wonderful combination of natural wood finishings together with touches of luxury such as underfloor heating in the spacious en suite facilities. The Bush Chalets and Lodges are designed for guests to be self-contained, with excellent kitchen facilities and barbecues on the decks.
Breakfast provisions are provided each morning, as well as a few basics to get you started if you cater for yourself. The rooms within the lodge are booked with breakfast and dinner included. There is also a pool and spa pool for guest use, and the extensive grounds offer numerous walking trails, from a short stroll through native bush to hear the birds, to longer hikes. Your hosts, Peter and Clare, are keen naturalists, and are actively involved in a number of conservation projects including Friends of Flora, working to release kiwi's back into the local area. They will be more than happy to share their passion for the native flora and fauna with you.

Experiences while staying here
The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.
The first part of the excursion starts with a cruise up the coastline, passing golden beaches and secluded bays, to Onetahuti (Tonga Bay), where you visit Tonga Island, which is home to the largest seal colony in the park and has many species of sea bird and sometimes Penguins.
