Swala Camp, Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
Swala Camp is set in the southwestern corner of Tarangire National Park in a grove of umbrella acacia trees overlooking a large waterhole.
The camp consists of twelve spacious luxury tents, built on wooden platforms, all facing the waterhole which is a magnet for wildlife such as elephants in the dry season. You can happily while away an hour or two on your deck just watching the action unfold in front of you! The tents are beautifully designed, with crisp linens, mosquito nets, and en suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, flush toilets and outside showers. There is a large lounge and dining area, and the swimming pool is a lovely place to cool off after a day out on safari in Tarangire.
Activities from Swala include game-drives and during school terms, visits to the local school which is supported by the camp can be arranged.

Kirurumu Tarangire Camp doesn't have a lot of frills but feels more like a mobile camp. It has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and is delightful.
Oliver’s Camp offers the perfect balance between an authentic tented safari experience while at the same time providing plenty of comfort and luxury. Set in the heart of Tarangire National Park, guests can enjoy excellent game viewing as well as guided walking safaris from the camp.
Tarangire River Camp is a beautifully situated camp overlooking Tarangire National Park and the Tarangire River. While the camp is outside the national park, it's only half an hour's drive to the park entrance and headquarters, making it well-located for game drives.
Tarangire Treetops isn't the nearest lodge to the park. However, it is the prettiest. It is good for a two night stay, spending a whole day in the park with a picnic.
