Kirurumu Tarangire Camp is situated in a Maasai concession area bordering the Tarangire National Park. It has the feel of a simple mobile camp, with five tents dotted around the bush.
The main dining tent is simple yet delightful with a large dining table inside, some very large squashy cushions outside and a fire pit under a spreading acacia tree. The tents are large walk in safari tents. They are simply furnished with beds covered in batik bedspreads and simple bedside tables. The en suite bathrooms have tin wash basins and bucket showers (plenty of hot water is provided).
It is possible to go on nature walks from Kirurumu Tarangire Camp or visit nearby villages as well as take trips into Tarangire itself. Without many of the frills of the more luxurious camps Kirurumu Tarangire Camp is a good old fashioned safari camp and very friendly, relaxed and personal.
