Enjoying a mountain backdrop seemingly in the wilderness of British Columbia, Home Lodge is a modern and comfortable bed and breakfast property situated just five to ten minutes' drive from Golden's activities and restaurants. The location provides an excellent, more secluded base for exploring four national parks, all with a 90 minute drive.
Rooms offer a comfortable, homely atmosphere with plenty of attention to detail. There is a spacious living room with huge windows to make the most of the views of Table Mountain, and a fireplace to cosy up in front of on colder nights. There is also a television area, a games room and a library for guests to relax in during their stay.
Home Lodge is run by European expats who are both very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area and welcome guests from all over the world with professional service. They also have a hobby farm with a horse and a small herd of Scottish Highland cattle.
With its secluded setting within easy reach of surrounding national parks, extremely friendly hosts, and mountain charm, this is our preferred place to stay locally.

Rooms
The four en suite guest rooms are beautifully presented in the style of a comfortable mountain chalet with homely touches showcasing how much thought has gone into the design of the rooms. Each comes with bathrobes, slippers, a hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi. Beds can be either two twins or king sized. The rooms have delightful views over the paddock towards either Kicking Horse or Table mountains.
Location
Home Lodge is set in the wilderness while still being close to everything you might need. The town of Golden and mountain resort of Kicking Horse are about a ten minute drive away. Slightly further afield, Yoho National Park is about a 45 minute drive east, and Glacier National Park is about 45 minutes west, both offering plenty of outdoor activities.
Food and drink
A delicious breakfast is served each morning with freshly brewed coffee and home baked pastries straight from the oven. Outside there is a barbecue on the deck for eating alfresco, fragrant flower beds, a large vegetable garden where guests are welcome to pick or weed, and a gazebo and deck providing space for eating, drinking, and to sit and enjoy the mountain views.
