Located at the foot of Danxia Peak, Xihai Hotel boasts one of the best positions near the summit of Huang Shan and close to the entrance to Xihai Grand Valley. This makes it an ideal base from which to explore the various trails that lead to scenic viewing platforms. The hotel’s location also provides easy access to the best places to view the sunrise, sunset and the sea of clouds.

With 180 guest rooms, multiple restaurants, a bar and coffee shop it has more than adequate facilities for a comfortable stay up in the mountains.

OUR OPINION:

The Xihai Hotel is the best hotel available at the summit of Huang Shan. Due to the difficulties in taking building materials to the top, guest rooms are simple but comfortable and we feel are adequate for an overnight stay.

Rooms

The hotel has 180 rooms including suites, deluxe and superior rooms, and boutique rooms with a view. All rooms have Wi-Fi access, minibar and electronic safe.

Location

The hotel is located at the summit of Huang Shan at the foot of Danxia Peak and the entrance to Xihai Grand Valley. Scenic walking trails and the best areas to view the sunrise, sunset, and the sea of cloud are easily reached from the hotel.

Food and drink

There are two main restaurants; Hai Zhong Ge Chinese restaurant and Xia Ke Ting which serves regional Chinese specialties as well as international cuisines such as Malaysian and Thai. Shan Zhi Lian coffee shop offers Chinese and Western buffets as well as à la carte dishes, coffee and wine, while the Lobby Bar is open 24 hours for cocktails, coffee, tea and snacks. The hotel also has several halls and pavilions for banquets and parties.

Facilities and activities

The hotel has three private karaoke rooms as well as a games room for chess, mah-jong and poker.
