Rooms
Although the resort sits on quite a large area, there are only 64 luxuriously appointed suites set amongst the beautifully manicured gardens or along the beachfront. The rooms have a fresh, bright, contemporary décor with plenty of space and all of the comforts you would expect including air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, Wi-Fi, complimentary stocked minibar and a terrace or balcony.
Location
The resort is set on the beautiful Grand Anse Beach, one of the best on the island. Rightly popular with both locals and visitors, the beach is large enough that it never feels crowded and the southern end, where Spice Island sits, is the quietest bit. There is a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops in the area and the capital, St George’s is only ten minutes’ drive.
Food and drink
Spice Island is great for foodies too and is known for its gourmet cuisine and fine wines. The stylish, open-air Oliver’s Restaurant offers a fine dining atmosphere serving à la carte breakfast and dinner daily. The menu changes every night and features excellent international cuisine as well as authentic local specialities. After 7pm the dress code is 'elegantly casual', meaning no sleeveless tops for men and no shorts for men or women. This restaurant is adults only. The Sea & Surf Terraces is open for lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and snacks.
