American Airlines officially began its existence in 1929 with the amalgamation of several existing companies. The chief pilot of one of these companies was none other that the aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, who gained fame for his solo crossing of the Atlantic. Today, it is one of the biggest domestic carriers in the United States and fly's to numerous destinations around the world.
As part of a plan to take delivery of more new aircraft than any other American carrier by the end of the decade, American Airlines is introducing brand new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on select routes. Standout features include Wi-Fi connectivity in all cabin classes and fully flat Business Class seats, all with direct aisle access. It will also be the only American carrier to offer a refreshment walk-up bar for premium passengers.
Travel classes and legroom
The new Flagship® Suite aboard the 777-300ER aircraft transforms into a fully flat 6' 8" bed, offering direct aisle access, privacy dividers, a turn-down service (a first for any American carrier), 17-inch touchscreen entertainment systems and Bose® QuietComfort® Noise Cancelling® headphones. Start your in-flight dining experience with an amuse-bouche followed by new menus and a selection of award winning wines.
American’s new fully flat seats are designed to offer maximum comfort and flexibility. All seats have direct aisle access and touchscreen entertainment systems, together with Bose® QuietComfort® Noise Cancelling® headphones. Plus, customers can take advantage of industry-leading amenity kits and new chef-inspired menu options served with a choice of award-winning wines, not to mention the use of a walk-up bar stocked with snacks, refreshments and assorted sweets.
American Airlines Main Cabin passengers can enjoy a variety of movies, documentaries and comedies on personal seatback video screens on Boeing 777 aircraft.
