One of Tunisia's few maisons de charme, Dar Said stands in the heart of the quaint village of Sidi Bou Said, offering the perfect base for exploring the ruins of Carthage, a little way along the coast, and the city of Tunis. Dar Said was originally a residence dating back to the middle of the 19th century, and has been lovingly looked after as a hotel.
With just 24 rooms, set around courtyards, the hotel retains a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Dar Said has a small hammam as well as a small pool with an open terrace looking out onto the Mediterranean. For evening meals Dar Zarrouk is located exactly opposite the hotel and is recommended should you want to sample traditional Tunisian fare.
