Amet Haveli

Amet Haveli

Set on the banks of Lake Pichola, Amet Haveli is a small heritage property set away from the hustle and bustle of Udaipur's main town, though still only a twenty minute walk away.

Its serene spot by the water grants lakeside views to some of the rooms, which are an eclectic variety of size and character, yet come consistently well-appointed with a good range of amenities. The property also has a renowned onsite restaurant, which can be found in the quaint gardens besides the water's edge.

Given the property's residential heritage, all of the rooms are different in size and style, though each has an attached bathroom as well as an array of modern amenities to provide both comfort and character.

Just a twenty-minute walk to the main hub of Udaipur, Amet Haveli's lakeside location also ensures that it avoids much of the jostling inner city's business.

Food and drink

Beloved by travellers and locals alike, Ambrai is the hotel's lakeside restaurant, set in the property's gardens. It enjoys wonderful views across to the lake and city's palaces, and serves up high-quality Indian cuisine, making it advisable to book a table in advance.

Our opinion

Although a fairly simple property, we love the authentic Indian charm of the place, whilst its lakeside restaurant is an absolute treat in both its setting and succulence.
