Ranjit's Svaasa is a 200 year old British manor, converted by the family into a Heritage Boutique Spa Haveli. It is the best by quite a margin in Amritsar and the staff and the owner are lovely. Tucked away down a private street, just off the famous Mall Road, Ranjit's Svaasa is walking distance from the beautiful Ram Bagh Gardens and the Maharaja's Museum.
Each of the 18 rooms are unique. Having been tastefully decorated with the owner's personal touch, Ranjit's Svaasa houses boutique suites and private nooks and corners and fruit trees and a rooftop herb garden. It has been noted in the past that the rooms are perhaps a little unloved, this is a prime example of a heritage property where you may find the odd cobweb or dusty corner but in general it is well maintained and the feedback excellent.
There is a lovely spa housed in what once used to be the horse stables. There is a lovely garden and the restaurant serves a selection of delicious food. Enjoy an open air cardio routine on the roof or an organic herbal tea on the terraces or verandas. The property can also arrange excursions if you want to explore the city and some of these include getting involved in local community projects. Please note that this property is completely non-smoking.
