Entering the hotel, you’re greeted by a striking red-carpeted Art Nouveau staircase. The marble steps carry you upstairs to the elegant rooms, also decorated in an Art Nouveau style.
Outside of the rooms, you can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail accompanied by some delicious snacks at one of two elegant bars, Old Fashion Bar and the White Bar. For dinner, Ristorante Giotto is located on the hotel’s second floor and serves a menu of different takes on Italian standards.

Rooms
The rooms’ bright white-and-yellow panelled walls, stylish wooden furnishings and sumptuous bedding create a lovely place to rest. Each of the rooms, which range from classic to deluxe, is fully soundproofed and fitted with air conditioning and a safe. Complimentary Wi-Fi is standard, and rooms are equipped with a TV and minibar.
Location
Within minutes of leaving the hotel you can walk to historic buildings, weathered stone churches, museums of art and music or the bustling waterfront. The hotel is also within striking distance of the main square, the Piazza de Ferrari, and Palazzo Ducale, once the seat of Genoa’s doges (rulers).
Food and drink
A buffet breakfast is served in the grand surroundings of two rooms that feature original frescoes. The second-floor Ristorante Giotto offers an à la carte lunch and dinner menu, turning traditional Italian dishes on their heads. Between April and September, the restaurant opens out onto a terrace where you can eat breakfast and dine alfresco by candlelight in the evenings.
