Day by day
Board your flight to Dubai. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel.
Hilton Dubai Creek has a great location with views over the city and Dubai Creek where you can watch the traditional Dhow boats crossing the river.
You may wish to catch a dhow this morning across the creek and explore the gold souk and the spice market. From here you could head to the Bastakiya district for a look at the Dubai museum and a traditional house now turned into a coffee museum.
Another day at leisure to explore Dubai as you wish. The Downtown area is vibrant with plenty of shopping opportunities and restaurants including the huge Mall of Emirates. Or you may like to ask your specialist to arrange a walking tour to explore more of the city.
This afternoon you will be collected from your hotel and driven to the desert to enjoy a sunset dune dinner safari.
A private car will take you back to the airport in time for your flight to Mauritius.
On arrival in Mauritius, our representative will meet you and take you to your driver for the private road transfer to Sands Suites Resort.
Settle in and enjoy your first full day at leisure at the Sands Suites Resort. There are plenty of complimentary watersports available including sailing, water skiing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. Keen golfers might like to book a game of golf at the nearby Tamarin golf course. Or simply relax at the infinity pool or on the beach, enjoying the views of Le Morne.
If you'd like to get out and about, you can walk through the woods to Tamarin in about 45 minutes or the scenic beauty of Black River Gorges National Park is about an hour's drive away. Flic en Flac, just down the road has a range of shops and restaurants if you'd like to try dining somewhere different.
The majority of Mauritius' population are of Indian heritage and today you will be collected from your hotel for your private, guided tour discovering Mauritius' Indian roots. Visit Appravasi Ghat, where the Indian labourers arrived to work in the sugar cane fields, and now a UNESCO site. You will also go to Port Louis' spice market and visit Kailasson Hindu temple as well as stopping at a local house to see traditional samoussas being made. Lunch at a local Hindu family's home is a sampling of the seven curries traditionally served at an Indo-Mauritian wedding and then your day finishes at the sacred lake and Hindu temple at Grand Bassin.
