The Dunes of Khongoryn Els

The best time for ascending the Khongor Sands is in the early morning or late evening, when the cool air makes the journey pleasant.

The range of dunes stretches as far as the eye can see — your driver will take you to the base of the formation, from where you can take photographs, stroll among the horses and camels in the green stream-valley, or if you are feeling more energetic you can climb the dunes to the summit of your choosing, where the view along the sand ridge opens up for excellent photographic opportunities.
