Stay at Laico Umubano Kigali, Kigali
The hotel is well-located for its proximity to the airport as well as exploring the centre of Kigali. The rooms are comfortable and the food is tasty. What's lacking in luxurious detail is made up for by its friendly staff.
Laico Umubano Kigali, Kigali, Rwanda
The Laico Umubano (formerly the Novotel) is a large hotel set on top of a hill in the administration quarter of Kigali. The situation is peaceful and hotel is located adjacent to a pretty botanical garden.
The hotel has 97 rooms including 13 suites, over five stories. Each room is comfortable and designed to international resort standards, and each includes a television, air conditioning, digital safe and shower and separate bath. There are good facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts and even a small shop and bank. Five kilometres from the town centre the hotel provides lots of shuttle buses for guests of the hotel. The restaurant serves buffet style food, rather than a la carte, but the choice is excellent and it's a popular place for lunch as a result! There is also the option of room service if you prefer.
Overall this is a good place to stay in Kigali for an overnight at the start or end of your trip.
