This boutique hotel is filled with colonial character, and we find that it offers a high level of service. We also like its position close to the beach, where you can go swimming or relax on the sand.

Rooms
All but the standard rooms face out to the sea, though they do boast a private terrace. The superior and deluxe rooms are more elegantly decorated and have views of the sparkling Ahangama waters, while the suite features its own private deck, Jacuzzi and large double bed. All rooms and suites have an en suite bathroom, air conditioning, a TV, minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Location
The property is situated around an hour's drive from the historic town of Galle, so you're well placed for exploring the Dutch fort, which is filled with artisan shops, cafés, restaurants and colonial-era architecture.
Food and drink
You can enjoy dinners in the villa's open-air dining room, or you could request for your meal to be served on the hotel's veranda, in the garden, or on the beach. Choose from traditional Sri Lankan dishes or select from a variety of cuisines in the à la carte menu. Each morning you can arrange for a champagne, Eastern or Western breakfast to be delivered to your veranda, while in the afternoon the property offers a high tea featuring cakes, pastries, local patties and cutlets.
