Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Colombo.

  • Your chauffeur-guide will meet you on arrival for your private transfer to your fully staffed villa, Tanamera Estate, near Galle. On arrival, relax, settle in and admire your beachfront home for the next nine nights.

  • Today, your driver will take you to nearby Galle, where they'll show you around this fortified city before dropping you off at the home of a Galle local, famed for her cookery skills. Share local delicacies, learn, cook, and then eat together while hearing tales of life in the area.

  • As long as the weather allows, head onto the waters of the south coast this morning, with an experienced crew, to look for whales and dolphins. The rest of the day is at leisure.

  • A day at leisure to enjoy Tanamera. Relax by the pool under the palms, walk along the beach or play some of the games on hand at the villa.

  • Take a day trip to Uda Walawe today with your chauffeur-guide, which takes a couple of hours. Head into the park for a game drive to see some of Sri Lanka's wildlife in this beautiful, natural habitat. You can also visit the Elephant Transit Centre, where the elephants who need some temporary support are fed and cared for.

  • Swim, sunbathe, relax. Spend today at leisure to soak up the serenity of Tanamera.

  • Sri Lanka is known for its tea production, so today you can visit a lowland tea estate. Learn about the plucking and processing and have the opportunity to taste a variety of leaves and flushes. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

  • An opportunity to explore the wider area around Galle today, on a privately guided bicycle tour. Cycle through paddy fields and countryside, with plenty of photo stops and the chance to sample some fresh fruit along the way. Cool off in the pool back at your villa.

  • A final day at leisure to relax in the villa.

  • Your chauffeur-guide will collect you and drive you to the airport in plenty of time for your flight today. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
