Tarangire Treetops, Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
Tarangire Treetops is situated in a Maasai concession area, 45 minutes from the Boundary Hill gate to the Tarangire Park.
There are twenty luxury houses built on stilts in the branches of baobab trees. They are exceptionally pretty with polished wooden floors, large beds covered in bright fabrics, sweeping mosquito nets and lots of big cushions on the verandas under the branches. There are en-suite bathrooms with toilets, basins and hot showers. The main lodge is built on lower platforms, but still around some large baobab trees. There is a bar, dining room and small pool, surrounded by a deck with sunloungers on.
As the lodge is on a small hill there are good views of the surrounding bush. It is possible to enjoy nature walks from lodge or full day drives into the park. It's an ideal lodge to relax a bit at, as well as enjoying safari.
