Puripunn Boutique hotel
The style and character of the Puripunn reflects its historic neighbourhood. The hotel is situated in the midst of what's now a heritage zone, home to Chiang Mai's greatest concentration of wooden buildings. Compact in size, it feels more like an aristocratic villa than a hotel, with an elegant colonial style fusing with traditional Lanna design to create a charming boutique option. The courtyard pool makes a great place to cool off after those busy days exploring the city or the surrounding countryside.
All of the rooms and suites at the Puripunn have been designed to create a refined but homely haven in the city, offering tasteful decor, high ceilings and wooden floors, as well as spacious en suite bathrooms. Amenities in each room include individually-controlled air conditioning, TVs, fully-stocked minibars, safes and hairdryers.
The entry-level Superior rooms have a king size bed or twin beds and a private veranda, with some able to interconnect to accommodate families. The more spacious Puripunn Deluxe rooms are found on the ground floor for convenient access to the pool and gardens, while the Puripunn Family room has two bedrooms, making them ideal for those travelling with children.
Meanwhile, Baby Suites offer separate living areas and en suite bathrooms with either a Jacuzzi or a vintage tub. With a spacious veranda and four poster bed, they offer a touch of luxury. Alternatively, the Puripunn Grand Suite features its own pool, as well as a whirlpool bath and a generous living area.
Situated in the heart of Chiang Mai, the Puripunn has a brilliant location. Many shop houses, restaurants, and sightseeing attractions, including the Night Bazaar, lie within a few minutes’ stroll and nearby bridges lead over the Ping River to the modern commercial centre. The hotel also offers complimentary tuk tuk shuttles should you wish explore the temples of the Old Town.
Food and Drink
All meals can be enjoyed at the Puripunn, with its restaurant offering an excellent, sophisticated selection of dishes. The menu ranges from authentic Thai-Lanna cuisine to popular Western meals and changes depending on the season. As well as the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner you can also enjoy a traditional High Tea in the afternoon, while the pool bar is a great place to enjoy socialising with drinks in the evening.
Children of all ages are welcome at the Puripunn and extra beds or cribs can be provided in all of the rooms, with the interconnecting Standard rooms and Puripunn Family room being particularly well-suited to families. Babysitting and children’s services are also available upon request.
If you're wishing celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon, the hotel can make sure your trip is a special one, with its staff always happy to help with any extra arrangements. Arrive into your room and be greeted with a floral display, or book a romantic candle lit dinner for two.
Facilities and Activities
The hotel has a swimming pool, as well as a children's pool, a Jacuzzi, a fitness room and a spa. Guests can also make use of the library, laundry and dry cleaning services, postal service and transportation services, including car rental and shuttle buses.
A beautiful property whose owners pay great attention to detail to make sure your stay hereis relaxing. A secluded haven tucked away from the city, the property still has great access to all of Chiang Mai’s delights.
