The Sarojin, Khao Lak

The Sarojin

The Sarojin has been designed in a contemporary Asian style, with low-rise buildings and an open plan lobby, and is sympathetic to its natural, tranquil setting. There's an air of exclusivity and luxury here, with accommodation nestled within beautiful, well-tended grounds where an age-old ficus tree grows at the heart of the resort.

The genuine and personal service at Sarojin has helped the property win a number of awards over the years, ensuring that all guests feel that they're staying at a familiar private estate rather than a hotel, with staff helping to make every stay here relaxing and rejuvenating. There's plenty to explore from the resort during your stay, whether venturing through the jungle or seeing what lies beneath the Andaman Sea.

The spacious guest residences have a fresh and neutral design with white linen, stone floors and wood accents. They're housed in seven individual two-storey buildings and feature open-plan bathrooms, which include a romantic couples' bath and rain showers. Outside each residence is a private sundeck and sala to provide welcome shade from the tropical sun.

All residences are equipped with individually-controlled air conditioning, king sized beds, TVs, hairdryers and complimentary Wi-Fi access.

The property is in Khao Lak in Phang Nga province. It has direct access to an 11 kilometre stretch of the Andaman coastline, sheltered by the Pakarang Cape - a coral headland that offers year-round swimming. The white sand beach is sandwiched between warm waters and coconut palms, and there are a number of shops and bars within walking or cycling distance.

Food and drink

The Sarojin has two restaurants, a wine bar and many private dining options. The Edge restaurant is set on the beachfront and makes the most of the stunning sea views. Delicious Thai and seafood specialities are served alongside international dishes in an open-air timber pavilion, which creates a rustic setting for a laid-back dining experience. Ficus is located in the heart of the grounds and serves international, gourmet and Italian cuisine amongst the hanging roots and canopy of the ancient ficus tree. Adjacent to this is The Cellar, an open-air bar with a wine cellar stocked with fine wines from around the world.

For a more romantic, intimate experience you can choose to dine on the beach, in one of the island pavilions over the pool or in your own residence.

The Sarojin team also host weekly cocktail parties, which are fun, social occasions.

Children under the age of ten are not able to stay at The Sarojin, with the property geared more towards couples than families.

Environmental and social responsibility

The Sarojin has established the Sarojin Khao Lak community fund, with 100% of its donations going towards helping local projects. These projects include construction of fishing boats, housing, Red Cross facilities, new school buildings, children's play and educational equipment, and orphanage support.
