Visits to the Penguin colonies and white sand beaches are a must, and for those interested in the 1982 conflict there are many sites to visit, including the memorial to the 19 men who died aboard HMS Coventry which lies 13 miles off the coast
Pebble Lodge, Pebble Island, Falkland Islands
Allan and Jacqui have done a fantastic job restoring this 1920's farm house. The six rooms are all en suite and there is a comfortable sitting room with an honesty bar and a fascinating collection of books about the islands.
In addition to the amazing wildlife on the island that they will introduce you to, the lodge itself is only 15 minutes walk from four Elephant Beach, four miles of beautiful white sand. Both Allan and Jacqui were born in the Falklands and have a wealth of knowledge that has been added to by Allan's experience as a guide on Antarctic cruises. Rightly proud of what they have achieved on this remote Island, they will make you feel like part of the family.
