The well insulated and warm house at the Rookery replaces the very simple caravan that once stood on this site. There is a shared bathroom and kitchen with everything you could need.
The major advantage of being here is that you are so close to the wildlife, in particular the Rockhoppers and their freshwater shower. If you have all your meals included they will be in the form of a homemade meal box containing everything you need for hot evening meals, breakfasts and a packed lunch. These will be on your flight to the island.

The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.
Rookery Mount is reached by 4x4 from the main settlement and is home to a colony of Albatross but is perhaps best known for the Rockhopper 'shower', a fresh water spring that the birds use to rinse off the salt from the sea.
