Hidden in Costa Rica’s central volcanic region, El Silencio Lodge and Spa is an eco-friendly sanctuary in the heart of the cloudforest.

It consists of a 500-acre private reserve blessed with gently flowing streams and hidden waterfalls. There are 16 luxurious comfortable suites with complimentary minibar with soft drinks and snacks, private outdoor Jacuzzi and balcony. The chef serves up delicious organic creations (no red meat), the wonderful spa offers a variety of treatments to help you unwind and there are some fabulous walking trails to take you through the forest to view the prevalent birdlife.

This is a truly peaceful hideaway and so accessible being only an hour from San José. Please be aware that weather in the cloudforest is always unpredictable and be prepared for a good book in case of rain.

Please note that the hotel has a no smoking policy anywhere on its grounds.
