Gulet Malena, Croatia

Gulet Malena

With a traditional two-masted gulet design, the Malena is all about creating space to enjoy the scenery around you. The vessel's understated elegance is complemented by modern amenities, ensuring a stylish and comfortable journey.

Malena offers indoor and outdoor options for relaxing. Outside, the stern provides a covered alfresco dining table and large sofa lounge for relaxing after dinner. Plentiful sun loungers and a spacious couch, ideal for relaxing while at sea, make up the vessel's bow. Inside, a comfortable salon area contains TV and a music system and can be used should there be inclement weather or for a change of pace.

The vessel's cabins are all below deck, with four of the five equipped with double beds and a fifth containing two twin beds. All feature private en suite bathrooms with shower.

Malena's crew is always on hand to make sure you're making the most of your time on board, with masks, snorkels and flippers available for those who wish to snorkel as well as a kayak and two paddle-boards. Additional services and amenities can be arranged in advance.

Rooms

Like most gulets, the cabins are on the smaller side, though perfectly suitable for a night's rest. In addition to en suite bathrooms, the rooms are also equipped with air conditioning.

Location

The Malena is based at the port of Šibenik, though arrivals and departures can also be arranged in Trogir and Dubrovnik, making the majority of the Dalmatian Coast accessible during your cruise. Choose to explore the lesser known islands and bays or enjoy some of the sightseeing opportunities in Hvar or Korčula along the way.

Food and drink

On board meals can be served for the duration of the cruise. Depending on the route, you may wish to enjoy some of your dining in towns along the way. We always advise you to discuss the options with your country specialist in advance as drink packages can also be included. In addition, a number of dietary preferences can also be catered to.

Families

The Malena is a great option for families, with a twin bed cabin perfectly suited for children. In addition there is plenty on board to keep young ones entertained throughout the journey.

Our opinion

Taking your own private gulet out on the Adriatic is one of the most adventurous ways to explore the Dalmatian coast. Days are spent lounging in the sun and swimming, while your skipper plots a course to the next destination — we think this is both relaxing and exciting all in one.
