Rooms
The majority of the rooms at Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea offer fantastic sea views and a number have their own private balcony or terrace. The decor is classically elegant, with rooms styled in calm and refreshing tones. As you’d expect from any Belmond hotel, the fabrics and furnishings are of the highest quality and all the rooms are stocked with a plethora of luxurious amenities. Connecting rooms are also available on request for families.
Location
The Belmond Villa Sant’Andrea is easily the best beachside option in the Taormina area. The hotel is built along a rocky promontory overlooking the Bay of Mazzarò and there’s a lovely stretch of private pebbled beach, reserved exclusively for Belmond guests. For those wishing to head into Taormina, the hotel’s complimentary shuttle takes about ten minutes and ferries guests up the hill to the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in the heart of the town. Taormina is easy to explore on foot and there are plenty of boutique shops and excellent restaurants to enjoy.
Food and drink
Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room adjacent to the hotel’s beachside terrace, where guests can enjoy meals in the summer months. During the day, the Oliviero Restaurant has a casual atmosphere and the restaurant’s tables spill out onto the terrace. There’s live piano music in the evenings and Mediterranean and Sicilian specialities are abundant. There’s also a small pool bar offering a range of drinks, fruit and ice cream.
Facilities and activities
There’s an outdoor heated swimming pool on a small terrace above the bay, as well as a gym and beachfront gazebo for massages. The beach to the front of the property has sunloungers and umbrellas reserved exclusively for Belmond clients and guests can also use all the facilities on offer at the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo. There’s a free shuttle bus service that runs between the two properties and the heart of Taormina. During the summer months the hotel also offers complimentary boat trips along the coastline.
