Damara Mopane Lodge

Damara Mopane Lodge is an ideal base for exploring Damaraland. From here it is possible to visit the ancient rock art at Twyfelfontein and the Petrified Forest. Accommodation is in 54 air-conditioned double chalets, each with its own veranda. The chalets and main building are in the style of an African village, built in wattle and daub and shaded by mopane trees. Copies of the rock art of Twyfelfontein decorate the walls and the chalets are surrounded by vegetable plots and herb gardens.

The main building and chalets are connected by winding pathways, well laid out so you won't get lost! Each evening dinner is served in the restaurant and the meals include many ingredients fresh from the lodge's gardens. There is a swimming pool where you can relax in the afternoons as well as a viewing deck situated close to the camp where you can enjoy a sundowner drink and get a photograph of the Namibian sunset.
