Mushara Bush Camp is the third addition to the outstanding accommodation in the Mushara Collection. Based on the same reserve as its sister properties, it offers a down-to-earth tented bush camp experience for those wishing to explore Etosha National Park. Guests dine on the thatched veranda, which provides a light and spacious open-plan setting, with polished concrete and furnishings colored in a natural palette, giving it a modern yet relaxed feel. There's also an adjacent comfortable seating area in the same neutral tones overlooking the grounds, while for cooler evenings, the fire pit is an atmospheric place to gather for a post-dinner drink.
The en suite tents are built from a combination of canvas and local limestone, with each featuring a private veranda and roof-to-floor windows. Spacious and airy, they all have large bathrooms with oversized windows and showers looking out to the surrounding bush. Amenities include coffee making facilities, fridges, safes, mosquito nets, Wi-Fi access, hairdryers and floor fans, with cement floors and limestone walls also helping to keep the rooms cool from the heat of the day. Four of the tents include a sleeper couch in addition to beds, making them ideally suited for families with small children.
The camp is situated ten kilometers from the eastern Von Lindequist gate of Etosha National Park.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the thatched veranda. Dining is communal, giving you the chance to get to know your fellow guests and to share your day's experiences. The bar provides a variety of beverages and is the perfect place to relax as the sun sets.
There are plenty of facilities to keep children entertained in the camp's main house, including books, games, toys and drawing equipment. Outside you'll also find a sandpit, jungle gym and paddling pool. In addition, the camp offers a babysitting service, while the tents featuring additional sleeper couches are the best option for those traveling with children.
Game drives into Etosha can be arranged by the lodge if you want a break from driving, and a professional guide is provided to explain all about the bush and its remarkable wildlife.
The Mushara Bush Camp is an excellent choice on the eastern side of Etosha, offering a family friendly, yet traditional safari character lodge with stylish touches.
