Jump to:
Northern Namibia offers a variety of scenery, wildlife and experiences that are hard to beat elsewhere in the world.
The harsh landscapes of the Skeleton Coast and Damaraland, with its desert adapted flora and fauna will leave a lasting impression.
Himba culture
The Himba are one of Africa's great historical tribes and visiting them can prove to be an enlightening experience. Twyfelfontein, in Damaraland, has some of the most extensive rock art in Africa, some of which dates back almost 6,000 years.
Wildlife of Northern Namibia
There are also excellent wildlife viewing opportunities both in Etosha National Park and along the Caprivi Strip. Thriving birdlife and seal colonies inhabit the shores around Swakopmund and in the Walvis Bay lagoon.
