McHardy Lodge, Napier, New Zealand
Built in the 1890s as a family summer residence, McHardy Lodge has been lovingly restored to its former glory and now offers gracious and luxurious accommodation. The interior is very spacious and sumptuously decorated, and each of the six guest rooms has its own personal character. Guests can also enjoy the Napier sunshine from the wide veranda or pool area, or on cooler evenings relax in the library or billiards room. A wonderful breakfast is served al fresco whenever possible, or in the beautiful dining room, and in the evenings the town's restaurants and the surrounding wineries are only a short drive away.
