Itinerary idea in detail

  • Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met by your driver and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Your hotel is located just a few minutes walk or taxi ride from some of the best restaurants in the city.

  • Your shared tour of Lima begins with a visit to the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca site built around 500 AD. You will also visit the colonial center of Lima, which is centered around the Plaza de Armas. In the evening, you will have the chance to dine at some of Lima's famous gourmet restaurants on a culinary tour of the city.

  • Your private driver will transfer you to the airport in time for the flight to Cuzco. Your private guide will be waiting for you in Cuzco to take you to your hotel. Take the afternoon to relax as you adapt to the altitude.

  • Your private guide will take you to San Pedro market, Cuzco's main market where you can try exotic fruits or buy regional spices. You will also visit the main sites around the Plaza de Armas.

  • The Southern Valley of Cuzco is a little visited area. You will visit the Inca site of Tipon and a small town to sample local tastes and see a slice of day-to-day life with a visit to the market.

  • Enjoy a privately guided tour of the archaeological site of Písac, which is a feat of Inca engineering. You will then have some free time at the handicraft market near to the ruins. You will then traverse the valley to participate in a typical pachamanca lunch that involves cooking local produce and meats in an earthen heaven against the beautiful backdrop of the Andes.

  • Transfer to the station to board your train to Aguas Calientes, the small town at the foot of Machu Picchu. This afternoon, take a private guided tour of the magnificent Inca citadel. Back at the hotel, enjoy a complimentary pisco sour at the bar and learn the history of this classic Peruvian cocktail.

  • You will have a free morning to explore Machu Picchu again at your own leisure. Should you wish to climb one of the surrounding mountains we can book that for you. Take the train back to Cuzco this afternoon, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

  • Enjoy one last morning at leisure. Your guide will take you back to the airport in time for the international flight.
