Lemala Serengeti Camp

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Lemala Serengeti Camp

Lemala Serengeti is a mobile camp which moves around the national park throughout the year to ensure it is in the best possible position for the wildebeest migration. The camp is in a secluded area in Ndutu between December and March, then moves to northern Serengeti from June to October.

Accommodation is in eight luxury tents on wooden platforms with en suite facilities including a dressing room, flush loo, shower and basin with running water. The mess has a cozy sitting room with large sofas and a dining room.

From December to March the camp is in an acacia grove from where guests have a view of the spillway that extends from Lake Ndutu toward Kusini. The spillway's permanent salts and water attract a large amount of plains game that also visit the camp daily. Lemala Serengeti in Ndutu offers exceptional game viewing and activities include game walks.

From June to October, the camp sits on a large kopje overlooking the plains of northern Serengeti. The wildebeest migration starts arriving in the area from June onward and heads toward the Mara River only a few minutes from the camp. Large number of herds remain on the Serengeti side even when the migration spills into the Masai Mara and guests continue to enjoy excellent game viewing up to November.
