The palatial lobby sets the tone for the hotel with an seemingly unending expanse of white marble, mirrored columns and a soaring ceiling. The grand surroundings are matched by thoughtful and efficient service which belies the fact that the hotel has 497 rooms. The apartments and suites blend modern amenities with classical decor, shuttered windows and some local touches in the large-scale, sepia-toned photos on the walls.
The hotel also offers a good range of facilities with a large outdoor pool surrounded by lush planting, a children's play area, a gym and the tranquil Rarinjinda Spa. The restaurant, Mesamis Café, offers authentic Thai dishes alongside Chinese, Japanese, Italian and French cuisine, though it should be noted that no alcohol is served.
The hotel is set in one of Bangkok's thriving shopping areas with Siam Square, Siam Paragon and the MBK Center all within easy walking distance. There is also a BTS Skytrain station close by, making the rest of the city easily accessible.
