The entry level Fairmont queen rooms are located on the lower floors of the hotel and are interior facing. The next category is the Fairmont exterior rooms, which while still located on lower floors, have views out over the city. The deluxe rooms are located in the newer ‘Tower’ of the hotel which is a more contemporary building and was built to maximise the stunning views from the top of Nob Hill over the cityscape. The signature rooms are also in the tower building but face out over San Francisco Bay with views of Alcatraz and Coit Tower.

All of the rooms are light and feature a palette of neutral tones, with splashes of vibrancy provided in the accessories and textiles. Each of the 606 rooms and suites offer a flat-screen television, coffee maker, tea kettles and bathrobes.

Conveniently located on Nob Hill in San Francisco, the Fairmont San Francisco is just a short walk to San Francisco's cable car lines that provides access to Union Square, the Financial District, Chinatown and on to Fisherman's Wharf.

The hotel is also just steps away from a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in the Nob Hill neighbourhood.
