Tucked into an old grove of trees, the Lamp Lighter Inn is a charming B&B located in Carmel. Just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and the famous white sands of Carmel Beach, it's been a favourite for those visiting the area since 1912. The property features manicured gardens with handmade birdhouses, fire pits and secluded gazebos for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.
Each room and cottage is individually decorated and full of character. Sunset House Suites all have wood-burning fireplaces for guests to cosy around on colder evenings. A light breakfast is available for all guests in the garden each morning.

These snug rooms give the impression of staying in beachside cottages, and being only a short distance from the beach it’s close to the mark.

There are nine guest rooms and two cottages at Lamp Lighter Inn. Each is distinctive in décor, but all have beach highlights with blue, white and pink hues throughout their rooms. All are complete with marble bathrooms, sitting areas and large windows for plenty of natural light.
Location
Lamp Lighter Inn has the perfect location for those who wish to spend their days soaking up the sun and swimming in the Pacific Ocean at Carmel Beach. Pebble Beach is a short drive to the north for those looking for a picturesque round of golf, and Big Sur is to the south for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a coastal hike.

Each morning you'll be served a light breakfast which you can enjoy in the lush gardens of the inn. For lunch and dinner, go on a short stroll to some of the area's top restaurants and cafes.
