Molokini Crater

Discover Molokini

Sail across the ocean from Ma'alaea Harbor to Molokini, a partially submerged volcanic crater whose surrounding coral reef teems with tropical fish and turtles. On this guided experience, you’ll visit two snorkelling sites as part of a small group, beginning at Molokini before moving on to Makena — a haven for Hawaiian green sea turtles. You’ll also have the chance to snuba (a mixture of snorkelling and scuba diving), if you wish.

This trip is suitable for all ages and abilities, allowing you to relax on the boat, explore the Hawaiian seas and snorkel above the tropical world hidden beneath the waves.

If you’re visiting between January and March, you’re likely to see whales and you might also encounter some spinner dolphins jumping out of the water offshore, occasionally venturing closer to the boat. You can listen to them using hydrophones, and your guide will describe their characteristics and behaviour, and how they live in this tranquil setting.

Breakfast and lunch are both provided during the tour. Cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit and coffee are served for breakfast, with a lunch of teriyaki grilled chicken, fresh tossed green salad, lūʻau rice and Hawaiian sweet rolls (a vegetarian option is also available on request). Non-alcoholic drinks are available throughout the trip, plus two complimentary alcoholic drinks for over 21s on the return journey.
