Trekking on Pinhatt Mountain, Vietnam

Pinhatt Mountain Trek

This half day trip starts to the south of Dalat City. Guests will be driven along picturesque scenic roads to the Pinhatt Mountain Trailhead to start the trek.

The first section of trail takes you along a gentle path through minority farms and pine forest, then continues through forest paths until you arrive at the base of Pinhatt. Here you can take a short rest to gain strength for the steep uphill climb (45 minutes) to the summit of Pinhatt. The views from the top are worth the effort!

Guests are treated to a picnic lunch of fresh vegetables and fruits and baguettes with an assortment of toppings carried by your local guide. Dalat is known as the vegetable garden of Vietnam and lunch offers you a chance to try some of Dalat’s tasty produce.

After lunch and a rest on the mountain-top, we descend and you will notice a very dramatic difference in the flora and fauna. The valley you enter is no longer pine forest, but the jungle that Vietnam is so famous for. It is a short but exciting bit of jungle that you walk through however beware of leeches, wear long socks to be safe!

You emerge on the other side, at a campsite where you can relax for a moment or take a swim until your boat comes. The boat will cruise across the lake to the beautiful Truc Lam Meditation Pagoda and its lovely gardens.

Alternatively you can walk a bit further to a pick up point where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Dalat.
