Mwaleshi Camp is situated on the Mwaleshi River in the North Luangwa National Park. It is a small and friendly camp with four reed and thatch chalets overlooking the river and bush beyond. The distant grassy plains are popular spots for impala and puku, while elephant frequently cross the river near camp. Each chalet is simple but delightful with beds with nets, reed wardrobes, woven mats and en suite bathrooms with loos, washbasins and open-air bucket showers. When you return from your walk at the end of each day your shower water will be heated for you and a jug of warm water is supplied in the early mornings.

The main mess area sits in the centre of camp, and is open fronted to make the most of the views. Meals are usually eaten here, there is a tiny bar, and some cosy sofas for tea and an afternoon snoozing with a good book. In front there are canvas safari chairs looking out toward the river, and a hammock swinging from the trees. At the river's edge, there is a tiny sunbathing area, and a large open space where a fire is lit each morning and evening.
