Palm River Hotel is a modern hotel situated along the banks of the Zambezi River, just four kilometres from Victoria Falls. The property has influences from the east coast of Australia, and all artwork and architecture have been designed by local Zimbabwean artists. The property is split into several hotel blocks named after local tree species, each built over three levels and designed to give families and couples space.
In addition to the top-notch service and comfortable rooms, what we love about Palm River is its commitment to sustainable practices within the hotel, including solar power and hydroelectricity, sustainable borehole water sourcing, waste reduction, and an extensive recycling system. The hotel also supports humanitarian causes that raise funds to support schools and local elderly communities.

Rooms
There are four room categories, each offering riverside garden views designed to bring you close to the sights and sounds of the Zambezi. Palm River also has a three-bedroom private villa for those seeking extra space and a slightly more intimate setting, located furthest from the main section of the hotel. Please note that none of the rooms here has mosquito nets.
Location
The hotel is in a prime location upstream of Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi. A complimentary shuttle bus runs on a schedule throughout the day, transporting guests between the Palm River Hotel and Victoria Falls Town.
Food and drink
There are two options for breakfast: an extensive buffet and a hot breakfast served à la carte. A menu of lighter fare is offered for lunch, including salads, pasta, and sandwiches. High tea is served in the late afternoon, where an assortment of sweet and savoury snacks is served alongside tea, coffee, and iced tea. An ever-rotating dinner menu with hearty and diverse courses ensures a satisfying end to the day.
Facilities and activities
In the main areas, you can find plenty of garden space and a swimming pool surrounded by loungers for a place to relax and cool off from the heat of the day in between exploring Victoria Falls.
Your activities at Victoria Falls will be booked in advance. However, should you want to add any additional activities during your stay, the staff at the Tours Desk can assist with making arrangements.
