Hebridean Sky

Cruise Ships in Antarctica : Hebridean Sky

Along with her sister ship, the Island Sky, this is one of the smallest, safest and most comfortable ships in expedition cruising. With state-of-the-art stabilisers, impeccably trained staff and seriously comfortable cabins, the Hebridean Sky offers you a wonderful way to see the remote and wild corners of the planet. Passengers are also encouraged to take part in citizen science projects along the way.

The Hebridean Sky is at the top of the comfort scale for expedition cruising. Its suites, 12 of which have private balconies, range from 20–50 sq m (215–538 sq ft). Each cabin has its own TV (and DVD player on request) and an en suite bathroom with ocean views. Away from your cabin, you’ll find a lecture room and bar, restaurant and library. You can also loan gym equipment to use in your cabin. As with most expedition ships, there is an open-bridge policy, and the vessel is fitted with stabilisers to counteract rougher waters.

The Hebridean Sky also offers kayaking and camping activities on some sailings at an extra cost (advance booking required). Please note the ship has different operators across the year, and amenities can differ.

As you might expect on a ship that only contains suites, the cabins are spacious and very comfortable and offer a good range of choice, from the triple-berth option to the penthouse suite. There are also two smaller single cabins. We particularly like the veranda suite, with its own balcony for watching the scenery pass by.
