Perched on the river banks of the Nam Tha River lies the delightful Boat Landing Guest House, six kilometers outside of Luang Namtha. Each of the 22 charming, rustic, wooden bungalows are scattered among lush tropical gardens and have a veranda with river views.
This eco-friendly guesthouse provides its own energy from solar panels and also supports and promotes many local wildlife projects in the nearby Nam Ha National Park. The Boat Landing Guest House is an ideal place to base yourself whilst exploring the hidden north of Laos. Rooms are simple but comfortable with en suite facilities and the restaurant here serves some of the most authentic Laotian cuisine in the north of the country, including an extensive choice of vegetarian options.
Although rooms are fan cooled, rather than air conditioned, temperatures in northern Laos usually cool slightly in the evenings so this shouldn't be a problem.
