Each of the modern, stylish rooms comes with views overlooking the city, KLCC Park or the twin towers, no matter which floor they're on. Soft lighting, natural tones and lines of color are in keeping with the feel of this metropolitan hub. All rooms have the same amenities, including cable TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, an en suite bathroom and a full minibar. Rooms are split between Deluxe and Executive categories, with the latter offering slightly more space. Club rooms have the same layout as Deluxe rooms but come with additional Traders Club Lounge benefits, including complimentary breakfast, cocktails, soft drinks and afternoon tea.

There are also two suite categories — Twin Towers View Suites and City View Suites. Both have separate living areas, Trader Club Lounge benefits and exceptional views, offering 48 and 65 square meters of space respectively.

Being just a ten minute walk or buggy ride from the Petronas Twin Towers through KL City Park, you can’t find a more convenient location for exploring Kuala Lumpur.

Food and drink

There are a number of restaurants throughout the hotel, including a small snack bar overlooking KL City Park. Gobo, on the fifth floor, is the main hotel restaurant, serving a hot and cold buffet breakfast and à la carte options for lunch and dinner consisting of both Malaysian and Western food.

The Sky Bar, on the 33rd floor, is the hotel's stand-out feature. Serving as a cocktail bar in the evening, it features high tables and cushioned seating overlooking the bright city lights of Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Twin Towers

A babysitting and child care service is available.

Facilities and activities

There's a good sized 24 hour gym, as well as a rooftop swimming pool with a sauna and steam bath. The sauna and steam bath open at 10am to 10pm, whereas the pool is open from 6am to 7pm. Meanwhile, the spa offers a variety of treatments, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the Petronas Twin Towers.

Our opinion

Traders is in a great central location and its modern design fits in well with its surroundings. It's very well suited for those who wish to immerse themselves in the heart of the city and experience the metropolitan lifestyle of Kuala Lumpur.
