Four Seasons Resort
Four Seasons Resort, Langkawi, Malaysia
The Four Seasons Langkawi is set on Tanjung Rhu, one of the most picturesque stretches of white sand on the island. Spacious grounds are filled with lush greenery and local hard woods have been used in the sympathetic low-rise architecture. Decoration is inspired by Moorish, Malay and European influences while the service and facilities are impeccable. The 90 guest villas and pavilions nestle amid the Resort’s lushly landscaped gardens or enjoy beachfront settings within the soothing sound of waves.
The spacious accommodations seamlessly blend Asian, Indian and Arabic influences to create a uniquely Malaysian milieu, with rich tropical woods and heavily grained Spanish marble. Features include timber floors, soaring ceilings, open-air verandas and contemporary comfort. Complete technological ease is available in every pavilion and villa, with high-speed internet access, sound systems, satellite televisions, an iPod docking station, and CD and DVD players, while thoughtful personal touches include yukata robes and slippers. Indoor bathrooms feature Moorish and Malay artefacts. All lower pavilions and some villas offer secluded outdoor terrazzo soaking tubs for two and showers that evoke the feeling of a gentle tropical rainfall.
